Some days I feel the time is moving forward at a fast pace, other days it’s not fast enough. π
There is constantly a lot of preparations and, as I have previously written, a great deal on the boat going on. There are other things as well, not just the boat that need preparing. We recently completed a personal safety training course for example. More information about the course will be in a later post.
As said, there is a lot of things to be arranged before departure. Insurance, vaccination, various things must be purchased and documents to be obtained. The later category includes documents related to the boat for example proof of ownership, where it comes from etc. These are documents that may be asked for in different countries that we visit. While they may not be required most of the time, it’s probably good to have them available in case someone asks about the owner of the boat, for example.
In the picture you can see some of the documents that must be present and some that are good to have. Additional documents would include insurance policies for the boat as well as ourselves, a crew list etc. I often ask myself, what have I missed?
It’ll be more clear of course as we approach the departure date. I’d like to think that by then all documents have been both double and triple checked!
And yes, you can see a stamp too. It’s also round because apparently it works better (?!). π
